Topeka resident fends off robbery attempt with frying pan

TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) — A man has been jailed after a Topeka woman pushed him away with a frying pan during an alleged robbery attempt.
Alejandro D. Ontiveros, 32, was arrested and jailed around 10:45 p.m. Oct. 3, 2022 after an attempted aggravated burglary, the Topeka Police Department told 13 NEWS.
When they arrived, they found that Ontiveros allegedly tried to commit a burglary, however, the victim beat him off with a frying pan.
Ontiveros was listed by the Shawnee Corporation Correctional Services for aggravated endangering children, aggravated burglary, assault, and interfering with law enforcement officers. He remains behind bars on $250,000 bail.
